So while I sit here at work, procrastinating, it occurred to me that I haven't posted in a VERY long time...

So here's the skinny on what I've been up to:
  
    - In June, I officially graduated from university with a Bsc (go me!!).  And I didn't even do too badly, either!!
    - Not long after that, I managed to actually get a job in my field (Archaeology for those who care), which is not an easy thing to do, especially up here!
    - I am currently working, trying to plan several trips and pay off student loans...
    - More importantly, I am trying to update my many stories, but my plot bunny (Castor) is being stubborn and uncooperative...  Except with feeding me ideas for completely new stories and ignoring the old ones....

And that is all that is new and exciting in my world...

Hooray!!  So I finally updated 'Genesis'.  Ch.9 is now up on ff.net.  Yay me!!  That only took me like 6 months to do....  Hopefully all my readers haven't just walked away from this story in disgust in the intervening time....  Guess I'll find out!  Yay for almost done the story!!!

 So in response to the awesome reviews I got requesting a sequel, I have started "Where Your Heart Is"; which is a continuation of "Finding Home".  It's posted at the tinman_fic comm here on LJ, or at ff.net (same as before).  I love Tin Man, there are so many possibilities for story lines out there and so many wonderful authors have grabbed hold of it with both hands!  Very exciting!

So I have a brand spankin' new fanfiction obsession, courtesy of TheShoelessOne over at ff.net.  Not my fault her stories are so freaking good that they got me hooked on a show and a new 'ship before I even saw the show!  

Anyone else out there see the new SciFi miniseries "Tin Man" and think it was freaking awesome!!!  And that Cain and DG are totally an OTP?  I laugh in the faces of those who say its a platonic father-daugher sort of relationship.  I gotta tell you, I don't have chemistry and meaning-filled hugs and long looks like that with my father...  Anybody else?  C'mon, by the end of part 3, he is so totally in love with her, its not even funny.  Not funny, but definately melt-worthy.  *Sigh*.  

I've been so obsessed with this new pairing, that I've been gobbling up any fanfic I can find to feed the addiction.  Unfortunately, as of right now, I'm not feeling the creativity within myself, but I'm loving what everyone else is coming up with!  

I am getting a kick out of the fact that Cain and DG are yet another pairing that seem to be creating a bit of a pattern for me...  Older, rugged, bitter, world-weary man with younger, innocent girl.  DG/Cain, Severus/Hermione, Jayne/River, Logan/Rogue... hmm, I wonder if there's a pattern there?  *giggle*

I really hope they turn Tin Man into a TV show.  Long live the OZ!

 Wow, its been a long time since I wrote anything!!  I can't believe the last time I wrote was in the beginning of September and now its mid-December!!  Holy crap!  And I still haven't updated 'Genesis'...  My bad!  I'm still having problems writing the next chapter; I have the idea of what I want to have happen in it, but no idea how to write that.  Plus, I'm feeling kinda lost now that I'm passed the all-important scene that started this story...

Well, exams are almost over (thank god!!!), then its Christmas...  Maybe I'll feel more creative then.

My week from hell (last week) is finally over and I'm actually able to get more than 2 hours of sleep a night, which is nice.  Maybe now that I'm not completely beyond exhausted, I'll be able to write more...  Here's hoping!

Life is not of the good, right now.  I have tuition fees due on Friday and my bank just told me they don't want to extend my limit on the line of credit i took out to pay said fees, which leaves me with no frakkin' clue as to how i'm going to be paying for university this year... my last year too...  And i have a sneaking suspicion (based on a hunch) that the uni is going to fuck me over again and not let me graduate.  because, naturally, as a student, i have tons of extra money to burn on extra, un-necessary years of higher education!

And if that wasn't crappy enough, my damn muse has decided it would be funny to piss off to god knows where and leave me high and dry while i'm trying to get Genesis bloody well done!!  Two (possibly three) more chapters, is that too damn much to ask??  Why with the muses of independent thinking.  She should just stay chained to my desk like a good little...  well, not slave persay...  but, you know...  grrrr...
